Just like many of my recipes, feel free to substitute chicken with the meat of your choice. Singapore Nasi Briyani or Malaysian Nasi Briyani is quite different from traditional and varied traditional Indian varieties, as is the spelling! It is infact Biriyani Rice and Masala cooked sep a rately and simply served together.
Bahan Membuat Nasi Briyani
- 2 cup beras basmati.
- 250 gr iga sapi.
- 25 ml susu cair.
- 4 siung bawang putih.
- 5 siung bawang merah.
- 1/2 buah bawang bombay.
- 4 biji cabai keriting.
- 1/2 ruas kunyit.
- 1/2 sdt jinten.
- 1/2 sdt adas.
- 1/2 sdt bubuk kari.
- 1 sdt pala.
- 1/2 sdt ketumbar.
- 1/2 sdt merica.
- 2 biji bunga lawang.
- 3 biji cengkeh.
- 1 batang kecil kayu manis.
- Garam, gula.
Langkah Memasak Nasi Briyani
- Chopper bawang bombay, bawang merah, bawang putih, kunyit dan cabai keriting.
- Tumis bumbu tadi lalu masukkan adas, jinten, bubuk kari, ketumbar, merica, cengkeh, pala, kayu manis dan bunga lawang.
- Masukkan iga sapi, tambahkan susu dan air secukupnya.
- Masak dalam presto kurang lebih 20 menit.
- Angkat iga dan goreng. Untuk sisa bumbu dan kaldu di buat masak nasi nya.
- Cuci beras dan rendam air selama 20 menit.
- Buang air rendaman lalu di beri sisa bumbu dan kaldu iga. (takaran sesuai masak nasi biasanya, Jika kurang air tambahkan air).
- Masak dalam rice cooker dan tunggu sampai matang.
- Sajikan nasi briyani dan iga goreng tambahkan pelengkap acar.
You can also serve it separately, topped with your choice of curries. I much prefer the latter as I can save any leftover rice and curries separately in the refrigerator.
